Hello & Welcome to Courageous Goodbyes

Thank you for visiting our website!

Are you wondering what a doula is and what services they provide?

The word doula is derived from the Greek and has come to mean "a person that serves."  Today, it's most commonly associated with a Birth Doula and an End of Life Doula but there are other life events that a doula supports families through.

Courageous Goodbyes® defines a Doula as "a non-medical person who serves and journeys alongside others."  Therefore, our doula services focus on the non-medical, unique needs of individuals and families facing or enduring life limiting challenges, isolation caused by health conditions, terminal illness, the golden years or the end of life transition.

We are deeply humbled to be welcomed into lives and homes during such an intimate and overwhelming time. We are blessed to be selected as their trusted partner who supports them in achieving their goals while meeting the practicalities of their daily needs with our holistic and nurturing senior care and respite care for primary caregivers.

We are especially honored when we are invited to companion the dying and their loved ones as their End of Life Doula guiding them through the end of life transition and continue to support the grieving in the days and months that follow. Empowering them to create a sacred space to share final memories, embrace the bittersweet gifts of the journey and prepare for their courageous goodbyes.
